Women of Distinction Recognition Awards
This club award honors women whose achievements in their respective fields of work and interest and dedication to community service set them apart.
Arts & Culture- Recognizes women who excels in the creation or support of arts and culture
Business & Professional -Recognizes women working in the private sector, i.e owners, executives, support staff in business fields
Community Service- Recognizes women, whether paid staff or volunteer who offer their communities a service through a non-profit charitable organization
Education- Recognizes women who work in public or private schools in any professional, instructional or support staff capacity
Health- Recognizes women who work in medical, mental health care, or social services
Public Service- Recognizes women who work in the public sector, i.e. law enforcement, elected officials, city, county, state or federal government
Senior-Recognizes women who are 62 years and over who have made significant contributions in any of the categories

Each year since 1972, Soroptimist has provided financial support to women striving to achieve their dreams despite having faced tremendous obstacles.
The Soroptimist Live Your Dream Awards assist women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects. Apply now!
Deadline is November 15th
You are eligible to apply for the Soroptimist Live Your Dream Awards if you are a woman who:
•Provides the primary financial support for yourself and your dependents. Dependents can include children, spouse, partner, siblings and/or parents.
•Has financial need.
•Is enrolled in or has been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program.
•Is motivated to achieve your education and career goals.
•Resides in one of Soroptimist International of the Americas’ member countries/territories.
•Has not previously been the recipient of a Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity or Live Your Dream Award.
•Does not have a graduate degree.
•Is not a Soroptimist member.
•Has a Social Security number or Tax ID number.
